The tale of the famous Italian writer about the adventures of an onion boy living in the kingdom-state, whose population consists exclusively of fruits and vegetables, is loved by children of many generations and countries. In Russia, it has long become its own: we have a cartoon about the adventures of Cipollino, and numerous performances in various genres - from puppet shows to ballet. And composer Tatyana Kamysheva composed an opera on this plot.
