Igor Dronov was born in Moscow. In 1992 finished the department of choral conducting (professor Boris tevlin‘s class) and the department of the operatic- symphonic conducting (class of professor Dmitriy kitayenko) of the Moscow state conservatory im. P. i.Chaykovskiy, 94- m - there graduate study in Dmitriy kitayenko. It participated in the master- classes of Georg sholti and Pierre bulez.
Since 1991 on 96-1 was the conductor of the Bolshoi theater, where into his repertoire entered operas "Yevgeny Onegin" P. Tschaikovsky, "Faust" Of sh. Gounod, "troubadour" and "traviata" G. Verdi, "aleko" and the "meager knight" Of s. Rakhmaninoff. In 2003 it participated in the preparation the premiers in Bol‘shom theater of the authentic version of opera "Ruslan and Ludmila" Of m. glinkya. In 2004 he became the musical leader of setting the evening of one-act ballets ("chamber № 6" to the music Of a.Pyarta, "magrittomaniya" Of yu.Krasavina and "lea" to the music Of l.Bernstayna), while in 2005. - by the musical leader of setting ballet "sleep on the summer night" to the music Of f. mendel‘sona-Bartol‘di, D‘erdya of Ligeti and the traditional mechanical music. Since 1992 it teaches in the Moscow conservatory in the department of operatic- symphonic conducting (since 2002. - professor). He is the chief conductor of the ensemble of soloists "studio of new music", with which carried out more than 150 Russian and world the premier of the compositions of the composers KHKH of century. From the moment of the base of the festival of contemporary music "Moscow forum" is his chief conductor. Since 1994. - chief conductor and the artistic leader of the youth ensemble of the soloists of "premier".
It wrote down a series of the CDS of contemporary Russian and foreign music. It performs on tour in the countries of Europe, in THE USA and Japan.
