Born in Brno is a gradutate of Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in music management. He studied singing privatly with Italian maestro Paolo de Napoli in Florence. He made his opera debut in Die Zauberflöte with the Janáček Opera in Brno followed by appearances with the National Theatre Prague, Latvian National Opera, Volksoper Vienna, Graz, Athens, Helsinki, Sevilla, Warsaw and others.
For season 2013/14 Pavel Černoch has been invited to work with Daniel Barenboim and Simon Rattle for parts of Lykov in Tzar’s Bride and Boris in Katya Kabanova in new productions for Berlin Staatsoper and La Scala in Milan.
Since 2010 Pavel Černoch has been a regular guest of major European opera houses: Berlin Staatsoper, Staatsoper Hamburg, Staatsteater Stutgart, Paris Opera, Opera de Nice, Teatro Real Madrid, Opera La Monnaie Brussels as Alfredo, Adorno, Rodolfo, Pinkerton, Faust (Berlioz, Gounod), Lensky, Vademont, Števa in Jenufa, Boris in Katya Kabanova, Prince in Rusalka, Jeník.
He is a regular of Glyndebourne Festival (Števa 2010, Prince 2011, Don José 2015) and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra with Andris Nelsons as conductor (Rodolfo in La Bohéme and Verdi Requiem).
