Born in Batumi (Republic of Georgia). In 2011, she graduated from the vocal faculty of the Moscow State Conservatoire (Galina Pisarenko’s class).
In 2008 with the Conservatoire’s opera studio she sang the part of Euridice in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice on the stage of the Moscow International House of Music. She also sang Maddalena in Rossini’s Il viaggio a Reims.
She frequently took part in master-classes by international vocal coaches, among them George Darden from the Metropolitan Opera, Prof. Gloria Guida Borrelli from Conservatorio Statale di Musica Nicola Sala (Benevento, Italy), Giandomenico Bisi (Agenzia Lirica Melodramma), Richard Bado (Houston Grand Opera) and Dmitry Vdovin (Bolshoi Theatre).
Svetlana took part in the Washington National Opera Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist Program.
In 2009-12, she was a member of the Young Artists Program of the Bolshoi Theatre. In 2010 she had her Bolshoi debut as Kupava in The Snow Maiden.
Tours
In 2010, she participated in the Richter Musical Festival in Tarusa and in the gala of the Miskolc Opera Festival (Hungary).
In 2011, she debuted in the title role in Tosca on the stage of the Yekaterinburg State Opera and Ballet Theatre.
