Dmitry Beloselsky

Bass

Born in Pavlograd (Ukraine) and graduated from the Gnesin Music Academy in Moscow. While still a student, he became a soloist with the Vladimir Minin’s Moscow Chamber Choir. With the choir he toured in Germany, France, Japan, USA and Argentina.

Since 2005 he has been a soloist with the choir of Moscow’s Sretensky monastery. With the choir he toured in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, New York, Washington, Boston, Toronto, Melbourne, Sidney, Berlin, London.

In 2010, he joined the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company as soloist.

Tours

During several seasons he participated in such opera staging as La Boheme, Il Trovatore and others at the opera festival in Bregenz (Austria).

In 2010, he took part in the Macau International Music Festival (China), singing Ferrando in Il Trovatore.

In 2011 he made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera as Zaccaria in Nabucco (conductor Paolo Carignani, director Elijah Moshinsky). At the Rome Opera he sang Zaccaria (conductor Riccardo Muti) and Federico Barbarossa (La battaglia di Legnano). He appeared at the Salzburger Festpiele as Banquo in Macbeth (conductor Riccardo Muti, director Peter Stein).

His engagements in 2012 included King Rene in Iolanta and Lanceotto Malatesta in Francesca da Rimini at the Theater an der Wien (conductor Vassily Sinaisky, director Stephen Lawless), Prince of Galich in Prince Igor at the Zurich Opera (conductor Vladimir Fedoseyev, director David Pountney).

Collaborated with such conductors as Riccardo Muti, Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Bashmet, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Mikhail Pletnev, Ion Marin and Thomas Sanderling.
