| Elchin AzizovBaritoneBorn in Baku. In 1997, he graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art with the profession of film director. In August 2005, he enrolled at the Summer Academy of the Mozarteum University (Salzburg, Richard Miller’s class), from2006-2007, he studied with Alessandro Misciasci.
In 2005-2007, he did a special course at the Opera studio attached to the Baku Academy of Music where he studied under the direction of Azad Aliev. In 2007, he became a probationer and soloist at the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre (teacher — Badri Maisuradze), where he made his debut in the role of Escamillo (Georges Bizet’s Carmen). Since 2008, he has been a soloist with the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company.

He has appeared in Moscow, Yaroslavl, Archangelsk, Vienna, Salzburg, Milan, Paris. In December 2007, he took part in the I International Mstislav Rostropovich Festival in Baku.
