Born in Sofia, Bulgaria. Having completed her studies at the Pancho Vladigerov Conservatoire, Sofia, she continued her training in Vienna and Rome (teacher Anita Cerquetti). She made her stage debut as Sally Bowles in the musical Cabaret at the Stefan Makedonski National Music Theatre, Sofia. She made her debut as Carmen at the National Palace of Culture, Sofia. She has sung Maddalena (Rigoletto), title role (Carmen), and Fenena (Nabucco) at the Stara Zagora Opera, title role (Carmen) in Bourgos and Sofia, and Amneris (Aida) in Varna.

She has sung Adalgisa in Norma and Preziosilla in La Forza del Destino in Essen and St. Gallen; she has appeared as Carmen and Preziosilla at Deutsche Oper (Berlin), and also as Carmen at St. Margarethen (2005) and at the Color Line Arena, Hamburg (2006), as Afra (La Wally ) and Smeton (Anna Bolena) at Wien Konzerthaus (2005, 2007), as Eboli in Don Carlos in Bratislava (2005). She she took part in the following productions: Menotti’s Goya (KlangBogen festival, 2004), Parsifal (State Opera, Munich, 2006). She sang Carmen at the Savonlinna Opera Festival (2007), Eboli in Valencia (2007), Suzuki in Munich (2008), Carmen in Riga (2008).
She made her Bolshoi Theatre debut in 2008 in the premiere production of Carmen singing the title part (conductor Yuri Temirkanov, director David Pountney).
