Prize-winner at the All-Russian Vocalists' Competition in Belgorod (1991).

Yuri Alexeyev was born in Krasnoyarsk. In 1991, he graduated from the Rostov Rakhmaninov Conservatoire (class of B. Mazur). The same year, he joined the Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theatre, where his repertoire included Alfredo (La traviata), Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Young Gypsy (Aleko) and Turiddu (Cavalleria rusticana).
Yury Alexeyev joined the Mariinsky Opera Company in 1996, making his debut as Alfredo (La traviata).

The singer's concert repertoire includes the tenor roles in Mozart's Requiem, Masses by Schubert and Requiem by Verdi.
Yury Alexeyev has toured with the Mariinsky Opera Company to Finland, the USA, Japan, Portugal, Luxembourg, Spain and China. He has also toured independently with recitals to Ireland (Wexford Festival), Spain (Peralada Festival) and the Netherlands.
