Tenor

Born in Moscow. Studied at the Moscow Academy of Choral Art (Vitaly Orlenin’s class). In 1998 entered the Academic musical college of Moscow State Conservatoire, studying solo singing with professor Victor Goryachkin. In 2001 entered Moscow State Conservatoire (class of professors Evgeny Kibkalo and Alexander Voroshilo).

After graduating from the Conservatoire in 2005 he became a soloist with the Moscow’s Helikon Opera theatre, where he performed the following, among other, roles:

In 2009 participated in XIXth International opera and ballet festival Syktyvkar Spring, singing Fernando in La Favorita. In the same year he performed the role of Monostatos (Die Zauberflöte) at Théâtre du Châtelet and Opéra National de Montpellier.
In 2010 he took part in the world premiere of Alexander Raskatov’s opera A Dog’s Heart at De Nederlandse Opera (Amsterdam), singing the role of Sjvonder.
In 2011 he participated in the production of Shostakovich’s The Nose at Festival d’Art Lyrique d’Aix-en-Provence and Opéra de Lyon (conductor Kazushi Ono, director William Kentridge).
In 2012 he performed the part of Almerik (Iolanta) at Teatro Real (Madrid, conductor Teodor Currentzis, director Peter Sellars).
