Bulgarian composer, son of the composer Panayot Pipkov.
He studied at the National music Academy in Sofia and was a student of the Field Duke from 1926 to 1932. He then worked as a chorus conductor in the Sofia Opera, and later became its Director.
Since 1948 - Professor at the Conservatory. He composed 4 symphonies, 3 operas, concertos, chamber and instrumental ensembles, oratorio, cantata, piano pieces, choruses, songs and music for films.
