Alexandra Kadurina

Mezzo soprano

Born in Kiev, Alexandra Kadurina graduated from the Kiev Music College in 2004 and received her Masters Degree from the Kiev National Music Academy in 2010.  She was on the Young Artist programme at the Bolshoi, graduating in July 2011. Alexandra has been a prize-winner in several competitions, including ‘XXI Art Competition’ in Kiev in 2006, All-Russia Vocal Contest for Young Singers St. Petersburg in 2007, and Antonin Dvorak International Competition in Karlovy Vary in 2008. 

Her repertoire includes roles of Olga and Filipievna in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Laura in Tchaikovsky’s Iolantha, Dunyasha and Lyubacha in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar’s Bride and Pauline in Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades.

Alexandra was re-engaged for the full stage production of La Cerisaie at the Opéra National de Paris (Palais  Garnier)  in January/February 2012 and appeared in L'Amico Fritz in concert in Moscow alongside Stephen Costello and Ailyn Perez. Engagements in the 12/13 season and beyond include Fiodor in Boris Godunov at the Bolshoi Theatre and Teatro Real Madrid, Dorabella in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte at the Bolshoi, and Octavian in Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier at the Bolshoi.
