19 October 2014, SundayToday, on October 19th, The Bolshoi Theatre Young artists opera program celebrates the 5th anniversary!​ This program is a project that selects young artists through the competitive auditions and then offers them a chance to improve their skills. Through several seasons they take vocal classes, study foreign languages, scenic movements and acting, take part in The Bolshoi Theatre performances and concerts and arrange their own repertoire. "Young artists should be captivated by creativity first of all, by the amount of interesting work they have to do, so they could advance. Our young artists dream about these possibilities ," - says Young artists opera program's Artistic director Dmitry Vdovin. During these 5 years Young artists definitely had a lot of interesting work to do: they took part in The Bolshoi Theatre operas, performed concerts at each of The Bolshoi stages, have been touring all over the world and became laureates of the most prestigious vocal competitions. 7 Young artists opera program graduates are The Bolshoi Opera soloists now, 2 graduates became the concertmasters at The Bolshoi Opera company. And 11 vocalists and 3 pianists participates in The Bolshoi Theatre Young artists opera program right now.
