The Bolshoi Theatre Young Opera Artists concert will take place at the The Beethoven Hall on October 8. The concert will be dedicated to Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's 170th anniversary and the program will consist of his romances - both famous and rare ones.
Composer, pianist and concertmaster Alexander Podkidchenko is the author of this conception and the musical director of this concert. Valeria Prokofieva and Elizaveta Malashenko will play the role of piano accompanists.
All the members of The Bolshoi Theatre Young Artists Opera Program will take part in the concert: sopranos Ruslana Koval, Ekaterina Morozova and Kristina Mkhitaryan; mezzo-soprano Alexandra Chukhina; tenors Pavel Valuzhin, Bogdan Volkov and Arseny Yakovlev; baritones Alexander Kireyev and Andrei Morozov; basses Daniil Chesnokov and Alexander Roslavets and The Bolshoi opera soloists, graduated from The Bolshoi Theatre Young Artists Opera Program in 2013 - mezzo-soprano Yulia Mazurova and baritone Andrei Jilihovschi.
