Dmitry Gudanov talks about peculiar features of the Russian ballet
We are happy to present the interview that Dmitry Gudanov gave to the TV Channel 24 The World: Dmitry Gudanov was born on July 4th 1975 in Moscow. In 1994, on completing his studies at the Moscow Choreographic College (today the Moscow Choreographic Academy) where he studied with Leonid Zhdanov, he joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company. He soon became the company's soloist, and then the company's principal dancer. Recently Dmitry has made his debut in the production "Marco Spada", staged by an outstanding French choreographer Pierre Lacotte. The dancer talks about his work with the famous ballet master, about differences between the French and the Russian ballet schools, about the transformation of the Soviet theatre and the future of art in the program "Kultlichnosti".
