Ballet for dessert

The presentation of the dessert "Merkuriev", created in honor of a world ballet star and the Bolshoi Theatre's leading soloist Andrei Merkuriev, took place.
The idea to create a dessert, named after Andrei Merkuriev, belongs to a writer and a journalist Vlad Vasyukhin, the artist's longtime friend. According to Vasyukhin, this was his long-nurtured dream; however, he made the firm decision to bring it to life on the day when it was announced that the Bolshoi soloist was awarded the title of an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
The ingredients of the dessert "Merkuriev" are simple: white chocolate, crème bí»lée, strawberries and mango. Alexei Berezin, the chef, who created the dessert "Merkuriev", says that he was inspired by the dessert "Pavlova", which also consists of simple and popular ingredients.
