Dance production "Amy", dedicated to Amy Winehouse The dance production "Amy", telling about life and creative career of the British singer Amy Winehouse, the Grammy Award winner, will be presented as a part of the UK-Russia bilateral year of culture on June 19th (Thursday) at 8 p.m. at the ZIL Culture Center "Constructor Hall" (Vostochnaya street, building 4/1, subway "Avtozavodskaya", www.zilcc.ru). The production stars the Bolshoi Ballet artists. The project was created by the Moscow choreographer Arina Erofeeva in London and premiered there as a part of R&D Dance & Dramaturgy workshop; it was supervised by a playwright Hildegard de Vujst and starred British dancers. The production "Amy" uses the dance language to tell the life story of a singer Amy Winehouse. The artists will show the changes of Amy's emotional and physical state during her life; those changes were triggered by the heroine's complicated and contradictory relations with people around her, her vulnerability, possession and craving for self-destruction. In the end of the evening the performance "Steppenwolf syndrome", based on novel "Steppenwolf" by Hermann Hesse and staged in the "work-in-progress" format will premier. The production tells about the splitting of the seeming unity of a human being into many figures and about a "gregarious" person that is opposed by a loner. The cast: Anna Koblova, Dmitry Starshinov, Mikhail Kryuchkov, Yanina Parienko, Anton Savichev, Dmitry Umnikov. Lightning designer: Serger Shevchenko (the Bolshoi Theatre).
