The Bolshoi's ballerina Svetlana Adyrkhaeva created a model image of the main female character; today she is rehearsing this part with Ekaterina Krysanova, the new Mekhmene Banu. Ulyana Lopatkina used to dance this part at the Mariinsky Theatre, and her fans cried at the premiere and did not try to hide their tears. This time the Bolshoi presents several casts; Svetlana Zakharova, who is in her best shape, is ready to make her voice heard.
