The Street is Our Screen!

The project is supported by the “Summa” Group and the Department of Culture of the Government of Moscow.

Two transmissions are planned – Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera The Tsar’s Bride (with sets based on the work of the outstanding designer Fyodor Fyodorovsky) and the ballet Jewels, an acknowledged masterpiece by George Balanchine. With this summer surprise for Muscovites and guests of the capital, The Bolshoi Theatre and the Summa Group likewise wish to celebrate the completion of the five-year-long restoration and reconstruction of the Theatre’s historic Main Stage.

Entrance to the relays on Theatre Square is absolutely free. They start at 19.00 hours.

The relays on lst and 2nd July were of Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar’s Bride (production by Julia Pevsner).

On 8 and 9 July, the ballet Jewels, to music by Stravinsky, Fauré and Tchaikovsky (choreography George Balanchine), will be relayed.
