Tonight, on October 15th, the celebration of Mikhail Lermontov's 200th anniversary will be held at The Bolshoi Historical stage

The celebrations will be culminated with a gala concert based on great Russian poet's works.
And of course we cannot do without the world premieres tonight: orchestra version of "Nina's Romance" from the "Masquerade" opera by Alexander Mosolov and the vocal version of famous Valse from the "Masquerade" ballet by Aram Khachaturian will be performed for the first time ever. (Poem by Pavel German has been put to the music).

The Bolshoi Theatre soloists will take part in the gala as well: People's Artist of Russia Alexander Naumenko, laureates of international contests Yulia Mazurova and Alexander Roslavets.
The anniversary celebration has been organized by the charity fund "Classica" with the support of Ministry of Culture of Russia.
